“We are thrilled with the donations we’ve received for this year’s auction,” said Patricia Johnson, Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice of Northwest Michigan. “The individuals and businesses who donated goods and services have our heartfelt thanks. The money we raise at this annual event helps our hospice patients all year long.” Johnson said the funds are accessed to provide services or needed items for patients that are not covered by insurance.
Johnson said three boats will be up for auction: a five-passenger jet boat, eight-foot dingy with sail kit, and a 22-foot sailboat. “The sailboat, a 1976 Catalina, is a real beauty. It just needs a little tender loving care,” she said.
Other items up for bid include:
At the end of the evening, at about 9:00 PM, the winning raffle ticket will be drawn for a 2008 Four Winns H180 boat and trailer. Only 300 of the $100 raffle tickets will be sold and there are a few tickets still available.
